There were no nominations received as of the deadline. Gerry Mainville, President of Local 3050, will continue to represent the members of the Kimberlite region at the UNW Executive table in accordance with the resolution passed at 2021 UNW Triennial Convention.
There will be another call issued prior to the next Triennial Convention in 2023.
June 1, 2022
This is the official nomination call for all members interested in running for the position of the Regional Vice President (RVP) of the Kimberlite Region. A hard copy of this call was also mailed to all members with a home address on file.
Duties of Officers, including the Regional Vice Presidents, are listed in the Union of Northern Workers’ By-Laws. By-Law 12.
Eligibility to run for the position of RVP:
- you must be a current UNW member in good standing, in the Kimberlite Region,
- you must show that you have been active within the union for at least one full (continuous) year as a UNW Local Officer as defined by the UNW By-laws and Regulations or the Local By-laws. You are required to provide the details related to your involvement at the Local level at the same time you submit your nomination form.
Your nominator and seconder must also be current UNW members from the Kimberlite Region in good standing.
DEADLINE: All nominations must be received no later than June 27, 2022 – 3:00 pm.
