Your NWT Power Corporation Collective Agreement expires December 31, 2025.
The bargaining input process starts early, as there are numerous steps to the process and we hope to serve notice to bargain with your Employer by the end of 2025. As always, the UNW will be seeking a negotiated settlement that addresses the priorities identified by the members.
A key part of the process is the opportunity for all members to provide input on their bargaining priorities and make suggestions for changes to the collective agreements. We need your voice!
To ensure that all members feel they have had an opportunity to contribute, the UNW is adding an extra step to the bargaining input process: you can write directly to your Union and identify what is important to you. You can use the following form:
You can submit as many bargaining proposal forms as you want – please use a separate sheet for each proposal.
The deadline to submit bargaining proposal forms to your Local is:
- 5:00pm on Monday, September 22
Once the information has been received and compiled, your Local’s Bargaining Committee will carry out what is normally the first step in the bargaining input process – Local meetings – where proposals will be gathered, debated, and selected to go forward to the Bargaining Conference. The election of delegates from your Local to attend the Bargaining Conference will also take place at these meetings.
Not all proposals can make it to the table. You are strongly encouraged to attend Local meetings to speak about your proposal and encourage your Local Bargaining Committee and fellow members to support it.
