Your Bargaining Team recently completed a second session with the employer, from Feb 13-15, to negotiate a renewal of your Collective Agreement with Northwest Territories Power Corp.
The current Collective Agreement expired on December 31, 2022, but remains in effect until the parties reach a renewal agreement.
Meetings with NTPC first started in November 2023 and have been reasonably productive thus far. Both parties have tabled all outstanding proposals including general economic proposals.
In addition to renegotiating the Collective Agreement, the Union is also working with NTPC on an updated Essential Services Agreement (ESA) as required by the Public Service Act. Discussions are ongoing and the ESA has yet to be finalized.
We are scheduled to continue negotiations in late April.
