Your bargaining team and employer met on April 5-6 for conciliation. Conciliation is a step in the bargaining process that brings the employer and union bargaining teams together with the help of a third party to facilitate a deal. Conciliation is a mandatory step before job action, like a strike, can take place.
Unfortunately, an agreement was not reached. The next step will be mediation, a meeting between employer and union with a mediator.
Membership has directed a strike vote be taken prior to mediation.
Strike Vote and Information Meetings will be taking place in the UNW Training Rooms (4910 53 Street) on Saturday, April 22 at the following times: 2:15pm, 4:15pm, and 6:15pm. You only need to attend one of these meetings.
YOU MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING TO ATTEND. Membership Applications will be available at the door.
