The Equity Vice President is a member of the Union's Executive and attends all meetings of the Executive.

An Equity Group member is a UNW member who is:

• an Aboriginal/Inuit/Metis person  OR
• racially visible  OR
• a person with any persistent/permanent impairments  OR
• gay or lesbian, bisexual or trans-gendered.

Members who self-identify as belonging to the Equity Group are assured that such information will be held is strict confidence.

Equity members many be interested in attending various conferences held during the year by the PSAC.  

The PSAC's Human Rights Programs provide support to members from equity groups to discuss, identify and strategize around how to best address issues of particular concern to them.
